The weirdest Easter week
How to explain what the Easter Week is and what it represents for Spain?
It has to do with profound religious beliefs, there’s no doubt about it, but at the same time everybody knows that it goes miles beyond that. The streets are crowded, even those of the smallest villages; workers and students enjoy some days off that they devote to spending time with their friends and relatives. To put it in a nutshell, we all try to forget about our daily problems. Nothing of this kind has been possible this time.

“I am sad because you can not leave the house. I thought that this wouldn’t last long, but I see that it will. There are people who have caught the virus and are isolated at home. I miss seeing my family and friends. So that the day does not get so boring, I do homework, listen to music and watch TV in my spare time. I hope that we beat the virus and everything gradually returns to normal.”Cristina
“Everything is being very hard and tiring. Every day I wake up more tired because I hardly sleep anymore. Managing to sleep is being complicated, since I am always in bed at night. I am no longer sleepy and I find it hard to fall asleep. I am getting more and more tired of being locked up at home, but I am trying to stand it in the best possible way.”
